Elvis Muigua,will be aiming for his third consecutive Windsor classic title when he takes part in this year’s tournament slated March 1st-3rd at Windsor golf and country club,Nairobi.
Following his recent victories at the 65th Sigona Bowl in January and the inaugural Great Rift Valley Championship in February, Muigua is poised to retain the title albeit against a competitive field.
The course is in top conditions ahead of the two day tourney which will overall winner walk away with Ksh. 450,000.Top 20 players will also receive cash prizes.
According to organizers of the championship,Kenya Golf Union , the tournament will contribute towards the Kenya Amateur Golf Ranking and the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
A total of 134 players have enlisted for the tournament with Kenya contributing a total of 123 players while Uganda has a total of 4 players ,India and Rwanda have both fielded 2 players each .Norway and Zimbabwe will be represented by one player each.
The tournament has also drawn the participation of four elite female golfers: Joyce Wanjiru, Kellie Gachaga, Belinda Wanjiru, and Diana Mbuba, further enriching the competitive field.
As Muigua and his fellow competitors prepare to tee off, anticipation mounts for an exhilarating showcase of skill and sportsmanship at the Windsor Golf Hotel & Country Club.
