The 15th edition of the Arthur Odera Volleyball Open is set to kickoff at the Malaba Stadium in Teso, North Busia County from February 15 – 18.
The event will be heralded by the Kenya Volleyball Federation [KVF], as heavyweights battle it out for third leg glory, with 16 teams from the men’s side and 12 teams from the women’s side expected to grace the tournament.
The men’s and women’s teams playing in the KVF league will rub shoulders alongside Division One men’s teams in the prestigious competition.
The regional tournament will feature teams from Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania with KVF league defending champions Kenya Prisons and General Service Unit headlining the men’s team for the hosts.
KCB and Kenya Pipeline represent the women’s side.
Bukedia Comprehensive Club, Amus College and Tororo Buffalo Club are among Uganda’s representatives from both the men’s and women’s side that have confirmed their participation in the tournament.
St. Alloise Club and APR represent Rwanda as others are waited to join the list.
The tournament was scheduled for the 13th and 14th but rescheduled for a day later with teams still confirming their participation for the tournament.
