Kenya wins bid to host 2024 Transform Africa Summit

Denmak FC caused a major upset in the ongoing Football Kenya Federation Cup after ousting bigwig Gor Mahia 5-4 via post match penalties during their round of 32 encounter at Ukunda Show Grounds,Kwale.

The match ended goalless forcing it to be decided via penalty shootout with Denmak emerging victors.

Earlier at the same venue Tusker FC secured a 2-1 victory over Bumbani Stars. The visitors took an early lead thanks to Daniel Sakari’s 24th minute strike.

Eric Zakayo extended Tusker’s lead slotting home a second in the 65th minute. Bumbani efforts to comeback in the match were temporarily kept alive pulling level through Saidi Zamani after 67 minutes but Tusker held on to snatch the win and progress to the round of 32.

Elsewhere Zetech Titans suffered a 4-3 los to Mara Sugar after both teams battled to a goalless draw at Police Sacco Stadium,Nairobi.

Defending champions Kakamega Homeboyz secured a 2-0 victory against Solian City FC  while Kariobangi Sharks overcame a resilient Nyamira Super Eagles by a 1-0.

The winners wait the round of 16 draw which will be held in earnest.The ultimate winner of the tourney represents the country in next seasons CAF Confederations Cup.
