Kenyan-based electric mobility firm, Roam, has opened its first outlet in Nairobi in a bid to increase sales of its e-bikes in the region.

The new outlet in partnership with e-mobility retailer, Ridewell will also offer customers after sales services besides equipment and gear and other biking accessories.

“Nairobi is one of Africa’s most important cities and a city with great potential in which electric mobility is becoming increasingly popular. We firmly believe that our motorcycles will help to improve boda boda riders’ quality of life and accelerate the shift towards a sustainable model of urban mobility,” said Dionne Getata Operations Sales Manager at Roam.

The firm targets to use the showroom to increase sales of its Roam Air models which are equipped with a removable
battery, easily chargeable at home and boasts a maximum range of up to 100km.

Ridewell Chief Executive Officer, Talib Nathani said this will be a destination for bodaboda riders to explore, learn, and experience the excitement of electric mobility.

“Whether you’re a seasoned rider or new to the world of electric motorcycles, Roam Shop has something for everyone,” he added.

Riders will be provided with a range of accessories and spare parts to enhance safety, comfort and customization options, from helmets and riding gear to maintenance essentials.
