KCB FC is hoping to collect maximum points in this after noon’s Football Kenya Federation Premier League match against Bandari FC at Mombasa Sports Club.
The bankers, who are currently occupying the tenth position on the log with 34 points will be keen to turn their fortunes around following recent tough outings in the league.
“We know that Bandari is a top team with quality players. They will come at as offensively and they have also proved that they can be solid at the defence. We need to create as many chances as possible to claim all the points,” noted KCB FC Coach Bernard Mwalala.
Striker Derrick Otanga and Philemon Nyakwakwa are expected to lead the attack for Mwalala’s charges while the trio of Farraj Ominde, Danson Namasaka and Henry Ochieng form the midfield.
Collins Neto, who recently joined KCB did not travel with the squad.
Captain Brian Ochieng will also miss the fixture due to a toe injury while midfielder Michael Mutinda is still ruled out due to long-term injury.
At the heart of the defence, Kenyan international Haniff Wesonga, Nashon Alembi, Kevin “Chumsy” Otieno and Herit Mungai are all expected to start against the Mombasa-based side.
The squad also conists of Festus Shikhalo, Gabriel Andika, Stephen Etyang, Shadrack Simiyu, James Mazembe, Vincent Ondabu, Bernard Odhiambo, Dismas Ongocho, Bixente Otieno, Derrick Otieno, Francis Oduor, Evans Juma, and Lameck Luhangala.
After the Bandari assignment KCB will shift its focus to the forthcoming Mozzart Bet Cup quarter final clash against holders Kakamega Homeboyz on 27th April at Police Sacco Stadium.
