Extreme Sports has announced a plan to partner with grass root clubs so as to catalyze the growth of soccer in the country.
A statement from Extreme sports thus stated:’ Extreme Sports Ltd Announces Youth Empowerment Program through Sports as the organization celebrates 20 years of football development’’.
The initiative seeks to empower the youth along three key areas identified as; Capacity building on commercialization of football, Fight against substance abuse and doping and running of financial literacy programs for Athletes.
The initiative targets the youth, a majority in the country with an aim of building a new economic pillar.
Extreme Sports is marking 20 years since being founded and prides itself in initiating programmes that foster athletic excellence as well as focusing on holistic development of the youth.
Plans to pilot the grassroot soccer project on March 30th in Kitui is a foot even as extreme sports CEO Hussein Mohammed donated Ksh.200,000 to Kitui Branch football officials led by Alex Mutio the FKF Secretary General Kitui Branch.Other officials who were present include:Kelly Josphat – Kitui County Youth Coordinator and Januaris Mwendwa – Kitui Football Players representative.
